Our Curriculum
We embrace each child as a unique individual, a special creation of God and provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences in a loving, caring, Christian environment. Teachers must have a bachelor's degree or 120 semester hour equivalence as required by the Maryland State Department of Education for nonpublic schools.
We pride ourselves on a low student to teacher ratio. Most classes have one teacher and one teacher’s assistant with a maximum of 18 students.
Our teachers develop age-appropriate activities that introduce and strengthen academic and social skills.
In addition to the ‘basics’, we offer students a range of gross motor and creative opportunities. We strive to include enrichment activities that extend our students knowledge and understanding of the world outside the classroom.
Themes or units of study relate to the child and God's world. Children explore God's world through classroom learning centers (blocks, computers, games and puzzles, housekeeping, play doh, sand and water play, science table), indoor and outdoor play areas, resource people and field trips.
